HOW TO CREATE A RELAXING ENVIRONMENT AT HOME Our lives are increasingly hectic and stressful. It can be said that we spend more time in the office or in the car than at home, and we no longer manage to take time for ourselves, to slow down and rest. A disorganized, chaotic and completely disorderly home does not help to find the much sought-after relaxation. Here are some simple and basic steps that can help make the home more harmonious but above all serene. Rule #1: Order in the house Maintaining a regular routine for household activities in the morning or evening can help reduce stress and offer the tranquility that only an orderly home can give. This can promote and avoid activities from accumulating, consequently reducing worries about disorder, which inevitably weigh on the mind. If the current position of the furniture does not favor these activities, you can always consider the possibility of rearranging the furniture layout. Rule #2: Use relaxing colors The colors chosen for the walls can have a profound effect on mood. To achieve maximum relaxation and recreate a peaceful atmosphere, you can opt for cool colors such as blue, green and gray, or neutral tones such as white or beige, keeping only some more lively details, such as decorative pillows or living room rugs (these colors tend to give energy, in this case, the opposite effect is sought). Lighting is very important. Neutral sunlight works wonders for the spirit, never block it, on the contrary, always make sure to keep the curtains up. Even if the sky is cloudy, the natural daylight is bright enough. A little help can also come from a second support, such as table lamps for the living room, strictly with warm but soft light. Rule #3: Take care of the bedroom and focus on sleep quality Sleep is a fundamental part for everyone and has a significant impact on how you feel during the day, so it is important to have a spacious bed and bedroom to ensure the best possible night's rest. Another thing to do is to change the bedding regularly and keep the room tidy and clean. However, if someone feels discomfort or needs more support and comfort in bed, they can consider adding an orthopedic mattress, perhaps in memory foam, which promotes sleep and helps maintain good posture when lying down. In addition to a comfortable bed, sticking to a good night routine can improve the quality of sleep, especially when someone engages in relaxing activities before going to bed, such as reading or taking a bath. Absolutely avoid looking at the computer or smartphone screen before going to bed.
